The Park is open all year except Christmas Day. The Rare Breeds Farm includes a herd of Longhorn cattle; Bagot and Golden Guernsey goats; Leicester Longwool, Norfolk Horn and White-faced Woodland sheep; three breeds of pig (Tamworth, Gloucestershire Old Spots and Berkshire), Shire horses and a variety of rare breeds of poultry.
Special features:- The Park is a well-maintained area of 175 acres of open parkland, water and woodland. Its facilities include: Hard surfaced paths throughout, suitable for disabled access; Lakeside Walk and Nature Trail; Winnie-the-Pooh's 100 Aker Wood; Adventure Playgrounds; Refreshment kiosk and picnic tables; Fishing; Toilets, including disabled.�

The daily activity programme includes hands-on goat show, bottle feeding lambs, sheep show, adventure play areas (including under 5 area) and picnic areas. There are hand washing facilities throughout the site. There is a gift shop, tea room and kiosks. Summer tractor rides, seasonal theme events, birthday party packages and special group discounts are available. Toilets for the disabled and baby changing.

Wimpole Home Farm - part of the National Trust's Wimpole Estate. A working farm and the largest rare-breeds centre in East Anglia. Originally established as a Model Farm in the 1780s. Examples of rare-breed cattle, sheep, pigs, goats, equines and poultry on display. Cattle and sheep graze in the parkland during spring, summer and autumn. The historic Great Barn was designed by the architect Sir John Soane.
