Cumbernauld - Palacerigg Country Park
Set in the hills to the south-east of Cumbernauld, Palacerigg Country Park's livestock collection is unique in Central Scotland. The 740 acre park includes livestock areas, a visitor centre, children's play area, 18 hole golf course and clubhouse as well as miles of woodland trails and bridle paths.
Visitor Centre facilities include an exhibition area, café, gift shop and lecture theatre. Rare Breeds maintained include:- Shetland cattle, White Park cattle, Eriskay and Highland ponies, North Ronaldsay, Castlemilk Moorit, Boreray, Soay and Ryeland sheep, Bagot goats, Tamworth pigs as well as Scots Grey and Scots Dumpy poultry.
