Fundraising Art Event A Success
The Rare! art exhibition event held recently in Milton u Wychwood has been hearlded as a great success. One of the key fundraising events was the Cream Tea hosted on 18th May, the idea of Rare Breeds Survivor Club member, Max Harvey.
This is the third year running that twelve year old Max has raised charitable funds for the RBST with his Cream Tea generating over £250 for the Trust.
With the help of his good friend, Barnaby Lea, Max sold a rich variety of cakes and biscuits which friends and relatives had donated. He said afterward, 'Having to add up quickly was the hardest part, but the people who came were all nice and told us the cakes were delicious. We could not believe how kind people were to bake for us.'
It must also be said that Barnaby's Mum, Sophie, had to put £10 in the fund to cover the goodies eaten by the serving staff!
