Lastest Defra update on H7N2 found in flock in Conwy, North Wales
Following confirmation of low pathogenic avian influenza H7N2 in a flock
in Conwy, North Wales, chickens and ducks were temporarily banned from
being taken to bird gatherings from Thursday 24 May.
The risk of bird gatherings has been re-assessed and the ban on
gathering involving chickens and ducks has been lifted with effect from
today (1st June). Therefore bird gatherings can go ahead as before
subject to the usual biosecurity, notification and record keeping
conditions in the general licence.
