Do you shine as a communicator? Do you have the persuasive skills of a successful fundraiser? Have you honed your business skills in a competitive marketplace? In short – would you be able to add to the talent on RBST’s Board of Trustees?

With two vacancies arising this year, the RBST Board is putting out a call for nominees to fill these important roles. You don’t need to be a livestock expert – but you do need to share a passion for helping to secure the future of Britain’s native breeds. In fact, it is essential to ensure good governance that RBST’s Board, like that of any other charity, embraces a diversity of talents and skills that can help to underscore the day-to-day work of the Trust’s operational team. A key requirement to enable RBST to fulfil its charitable purpose is a Board that works as a team to deliver a strong, consistent approach.

The new Board appointments will be effective from August 2019 for a term of four years, with an option to stand for re-election for a second four-year term. Candidates must have held RBST membership for a minimum of one year and be proposed and seconded by current members. You will need to commit four days a year to Board meetings, with possible additional commitment to committee membership. This is also the opportunity to help represent RBST at key events and help take the message forward to significant areas of influence.

The closing date for nominations is July 4, 2019.
