The RBST Marsh Awards offer the opportunity for unsung rare breed heroes to be given the recognition they
deserve.

The Marsh Awards are organised by The Marsh Christian Trust and various partner organisations to highlight the work of people who give their time generously by volunteering or in their professional lives to sectors including conservation and ecology.

While the winners are decided by the Award trustees, nominations come from within RBST. Giving you, as RBST members and supporters the opportunity to put forward names of people you feel deserve recognition in this way.

There are three awards:

  • Support Group Volunteer - Each Support Group is asked to award their individual winner, selected on the contribution they have made in the previous 12 months within their group. Each winner will be put forward for independent judging by the Marsh Ward team.
  • Conservation in Genetic Bio-diversity - This award recognises an individual or a group that has made significant technical, scientific and practical contributions to the field of genetic bio-diversity.
  • Lifetime Achievement Award - This award recognises an individual for their outstanding and long-term commitment to the conservation of rare breeds.

If you would like to nominate an individual or group for one of the awards, a nomination form can be found here.

Nominations much have been received by 5pm on the 15th March 2018
