Conservation Grazing in Practice Courses

An introduction to extensive/conservation grazing and the use of livestock to achieve environmental objectives. The course covers: Grazing and grazing systems Animal health, welfare and behaviour The key legislation, the role and responsibilities of a keeper and health & safety and risk assessments How to safely and effectively carry out livestock handling techniques Conservation Grazing in Practice is a 2 day course - £310 + VAT (includes lunch but not accommodation) and is a mix of outdoor practical sessions and indoor classroom work. GAP training courses are accredited by Lantra Awards. Delegates will receive a certificate by post after successful completion of the course. All trainers used by GAP are also accredited by Lantra. A detailed workbook will be provided for extra notes and a CD which includes welfare codes, factsheets, contacts and additional information.
