Shows and Judges

For shows that offer classes for Rare and Native breeds the wording which is used to define these can vary. The below Native breed sheep and cattle categories can be used to clearly display what breeds are considered to be rare and subsequently the breeds that may be eligible for the respective sections.

Below is guidance on what breeds are categorised as rare, these are now breeds categorised as a PRIORITY or AT RISK breed on the RBST Watchlist. This has replaced the categories 1-5 used previously.

Any breeders or shows that would like clarification on this please contact: [email protected]

A full list of Rare and Native Breeds is shown on the RBST Watchlist which can be downloaded here: RBST Watchlist

RBST have a variety of judges across the UK who are happy to come and judge your showing classes for you.
