Folly Farm is a proud, family run business which was founded by Glyn and Anne Williams in 1988. Folly Farm was a working dairy farm run for three generations by Glyn’s family. Folly Farm originally started as a working dairy farm and after so much interest from passers by – the family opened its doors and made it their mission to create special days out.

Folly Farm has diversified and developed massively over the years - and is now so much more than a farm. There’s now animals from around the world in the award winning zoo, an array of themed adventure play areas, Europe’s largest undercover vintage fairground and of course, there’s the barn and farm areas

The Jolly Barn was once the farm’s dairy parlour, but is now a firm favourite with families. Although they’ve moved away from dairy, it’s still full of farmyard favourites and is the perfect place to introduce little ones to farm animals for the first time. The farm currently houses eight priority breeds from the RBST Watchlist such as the Exmoor pony and Middle White pigs, along with 10 at risk breeds including the Saddleback pig. There’s also many rare and traditional Welsh breeds such as Welsh harlequin ducks, Welsh pigs, Balwen sheep and the charismatic badger faced sheep. Folly Farm is the only Welsh farm park to gain RBST approval for efforts and contribution to conserving rare breeds of livestock.
